Asbestos Management

An Asbestos Policy provides a framework for asbestos management and acknowledges a company's responsibilities regarding asbestos. An effective policy should include the following:

  • Introduction
  • Policy Statement
  • Compliance Strategy
  • Asbestos Records
  • Personnel Responsible for Asbestos Management

As set out in the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006, all duty holders with known or presumed asbestos within their properties must have in place an effective Asbestos Management Plan. The purpose of this asbestos management plan is to manage any known or presumed asbestos so that its potential danger is tightly controlled and risks kept to an absolute minimum.
