Asbestos Surveys
Award Health & Safety will undertake 3 types of Asbestos Survey across Hampshire & the UK as detailed below:
Type 1
Subject to quote. A Type 1 asbestos survey is a non-intrusive non-sampling inspection of the site where the surveyor will make presumptions about the presence of Asbestos Containing Material within the site or building.
Without sampling the presence or otherwise of Asbestos Containing Materials cannot be proven. Discounts may be available for multiple and similar sites across Hampshire and the UK.
Type 2
Subject to quote. A Type 2 asbestos survey is an intrusive survey requiring the surveyor to remove small sample particles from areas and materials suspected of containing asbestos and will include the following:
- Collecting and dispatching samples for analysis
- Analysing results
- Producing a detailed Asbestos Report
- Risk Assessments and Recommendations
- Draft proposals for Client's Management Plan
- Production of an Asbestos Register
Sample points are damped prior to extraction to prevent the release of fibre and are sealed and marked (in accordance with the clients wishes) after the sample has been collected.
Where samples are collected in public or common areas, marking of collection points can be omitted to prevent concern on the part of building users.
Discounts may be available for multiple type 2 asbestos surveys across Hampshire and the UK.
Type 3
Subject to quote. A Type 3 asbestos survey is an intrusive, destructive, in-depth inspection of the premises usually carried out prior to refurbishment works or demolition works to determine the presence and location of all Asbestos Containing Materials with a view to complete removal and disposal prior to commencement of works.
The building is subjected to a complete sterilisation process and air quality testing before being handed over to the works contractor.
Discounts may be available for multiple and similar sites across Hampshire and the UK.
The analysis of each sample is chargeable. Your company may be eligible to claim all or part of your costs back for Surveys, by an outside contractor, using Tax Relief
