Plant Assessment

We can provide a range of plant operator assessments available on all types of common plant. Assessments can be undertaken under the Construction Plant Competence Scheme (CPCS) or if a CPCS Operators card is not required, the NPORS Scheme or In-house certification. We would usually assess a number of delegates on the same day. it is unusual for us to be able to carry out single assessments. Differnet schemes have different requirments please contact us for further details.

Industrial Fork Lift

Learning Outcome:

By the end of the assessment the delegate will be able to demonstrate how they:

  • Identify and comply with manufacturer’s instruction.
  • Identify function of controls.
  • Manoeuvre the forklift with and without a load forward and reverse in confined spaces.
  • Lift and place a variety of loads.
  • Carry out pre start checks and understand the need to place the machine in an out of service condition.

Telescopic Handler

Includes both rough terrain and industrial (JCB Teletruck).

Learning Outcome:

By the end of the assessment the delegate will be able to demonstrate how they:

  • Identify and comply with manufacturer’s instruction.
  • Identify function of controls.
  • Manoeuvre the forklift with and without a
  • load forward and reverse in confined spaces.
  • Travel over rough terrain and inclines with and without a load.
  • Lift and place a variety of loads.
  • Carry out pre start checks and understand the need to place the machine in an out of service condition.

Forward Tipping Dumper

Learning Outcome:

By the end of the assessment the delegate will be able to demonstrate how they:

  • Identify and comply with manufacturer’s instruction.
  • Identify function of controls.
  • Manoeuvre the dumper with and without a
  • load forward and reverse through restrictions.
  • Travel over rough terrain and inclines.
  • Position for loading.
  • Discharge into an excavation.
  • Carry out pre start checks and understand
  • the need to place the machine in an out of
  • service condition.

Excavator 360 degree

Learning Outcome:

By the end of the assessment the delegate will be able to demonstrate how they:

  • Identify and comply with manufacturer’s instruction.
  • Identify function of controls.
  • Set the excavator for site travel.
  • Manoeuvre the excavator forward and reverse through restrictions.
  • Travel over rough terrain and inclines.
  • Carry out various excavations.
  • Load vehicles.
  • Carry out pre start checks and understand the need to place the machine in an out of service condition.
